Planned giving is a useful tool to strengthen your organization’s long-term sustainability, and it doesn't have to be complicated or stressful. Chris Templeman will walk us through a straightforward action plan to launch or grow a program, and share a simple, high-impact takeaway so you can get going right away in the new year.

Then, we’ll hear from representatives from two local nonprofits exactly how they put these strategies into action: steps, lessons learned, pitfalls to avoid. You’ll have time to workshop ideas at your table and engage in Q&A.

Spoiler alert: consistent marketing is key, so if someone else in your organization handles communications, you may want to bring them along.

    Speakers

    Christian Templeman
First Vice President, Financial Advisor, Morgan Stanley
    Martine Campoli
    Manager, Individual Giving, Feeding Westchester
    Danielle Marino
Executive Director, White Plains Library Foundation

Please save the date. Registration will open soon.

Full participation in "Planned Giving - From Theory to Action" is applicable for 1.25 points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.

“I’m engaging my donors as I like to be engaged: thoughtfully, respectfully, a dash of humor, and building the relationship – and the gifts are coming!”

“I am watching our board and staff move from skepticism about being able to raise money to being engaged and empowered.”

“I was able to get approval on increasing the frequency of an event from every two years to annually, and helped increase online giving by 12% through crowdfunding for a climate change research organization.”

“A fundraising audit prompted the creation of our first annual report…which led to three times the $$$ on our annual appeal. (And we won a design award for the report as well!)”
