Connect with us online to support one another and share ideas.

We have set up a Facebook group, called ADO Community Group, to serve as a forum for local nonprofit staff and volunteers to ask questions, discuss challenges, share best practices and great ideas…and keep each other's spirits up! If you're on Facebook and would like to join, please click here and ask to be added to the group.

ADO is offering a bi-weekly video conference call every other Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Bring questions, ideas, and concerns to discuss, or just tune in to see some familiar faces. This is a free video call using Zoom, so please join from a laptop, tablet, or smartphone with camera capabilities.  Click on the links below to register and you will receive the dial-in information in the confirmation email.

There is a new section of our website for members to offer each other resources and discounted services.  Check it out:

We admire them for their creativity and perseverance, and thank all in our community who are donating, volunteering, or otherwise supporting a nonprofit right now.

What we’ve heard:

"We have created an emergency fund and through multiple channels have raised over $35,000 since mid-March."

"A donor lumped three years' worth of traditional monthly donations into one sum, which helps with the organization’s cash flow."

"We have stepped up our outreach.  Board members are making calls to check in with our members and we have gotten some generous donations from people who usually only donate once a year."

"I had a grant that was denied, but when I went back with another plea detailing our response to this crisis the decision was reversed."

"We had a proposal pending with a foundation, and the donor sent an extra $10k to help with our COVID-19 response efforts."

"I had a conversation with a corporate sponsor to let them know about what we are doing at this time, and I received a check from them the next day."

The Association of Development Officers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
